Almond milk

  • 10 almonds soaked overnight in enough water to cover
  • Pinch ground cardamom
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 250ml warm water, milk or soya milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Drain the almonds, keep the soaking water and remove the skins. Blend the nuts with the soaking water, cardamom and pepper at high speed for 5 minutes. Combine this mixture with the warm milk, soya milk or water. Stir in the honey (optional) and drink at once.

Date Energy Drink (especially good during pregnancy)

  • 2 Fresh black dates
  • 2 blanched almonds
  • ¼ teaspoon fennel seeds
  • Seeds of 2 cardamom pods

Soak over night in ½ cup water/rice milk/almond milk. Blend in the morning and drink warm for breakfast.
